We are, however, getting a puppy!!
GDaddy has had puppy-itis for a while now, and it only intensified after we visited his dad and sister and they both had new puppies. Plus, GDaddy wants a yellow-lab, and sure enough, everywhere we go lately we see awesome yellow labs who'd make great family pets. Gets the old wheels turning.
This is completely an illogical, from the heart, not rational decision for so many reasons; it's another cost we don't need right now, a puppy is basically a furry baby, and, well, I already have 2 little ones and another one brewing, it would be so much smarter to wait til Spring.... on and on.
GDaddy and I figured out a long time ago that we're a bit on the impulsive side (want to have a baby? sure!!! want to buy a 4-wheeler? sure!!!) but I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing. We have fun with our impulsiveness and kind of go with life's flow....
The kids are going to absolutely love having a puppy in the house (then out she goes once she's big!). And this dog is going to be big! Her mom was around 75lbs and her dad about 120lbs I think. She's already a huge puppy and she's only 10 weeks old. She's just as sweet and cute as can be, though. We got to see her and hold her, but won't take her home with us until after the weekend. We're heading out of town this weekend (more on that later) so don't want to get her until then.

Oh, my...that IS a big puppy, but absolutely adorable. So happy for you all. We have an awesome dog. We've had her for over 14 years. She's part of the family. Your dog will be, too! :o)
