I'm back for another edition of Wambling Wednesday!!! It has already been established that I'm a huge dork so I'm not going to feel embarassed anymore and just dive right in....
* I came home the other day to find a Jehova's Witness flyer in my door. Seriously. We live 25 minutes from the nearest store and 10+ minutes up a mountain and down a long dirt driveway with a gate at the entrance.
* We are trying to "break" Little Man of wearing his diaper to bed. When we first potty trained him he was great - but I felt like he needed to wear a diaper at night just in case.... He was doing awesome, he woke up every morning to a dry, or at least near dry diaper. Well, then he got lazy. Now he doesn't want to take it off in the morning, he wants to leave it on while he slowly wakes up. He'll literally sit at the breakfast table and go potty in his diaper out of laziness which is maddening to me. SO I have lined his mattress with plastic and we have been putting him to bed sans diaper for the past couple of nights. I'm hoping it clicks with him soon that he doesn't like waking up to a wet bed.
* I have a MOUNTAIN of laundry today. It seems like Wednesdays are my first calm day of the week where I have a chance to catch up on things. I'm always stunned by the amount of laundry that can pile up so quickly.
* Brian tucked Baby Sis into bed last night but first lay down with her on the spare bed in her room to snuggle for a while. According to him this is their conversation:
Baby Sis "Dah-eee?" (translate-Daddy?)
Brian "What Sis?"
"Aht derr" she says, pointing to the living room (translate-out there)
"No, Sis. Can't go out there and play. It's night-night time."
"Dah-eee?"
"What Sis?"
"Papa"
"Yes, you went to see Grandma & Papa tonight didn't you??"
"uh-huh. Dah-eee?"
"What Sis?"
"Poopy."
"No, Sis. You're not poopy. Go night-night."
He said they went back and forth for a while and it was so cute. I wish you could just hear her little voice. She's talking so much more lately. I picked her up from the daycare at the gym the other day and the daycare worker told me they'd just gotten done having a whole conversation about how she was hungry and wanted to eat when I picked her up. "And the weird thing was that I could totally understand her" said the daycare lady.
